Lycium Polysaccharides  (枸杞糖肽)

1. Compositions: High hydroxylproine-contained glycoproteins. The linked polysaccharides are mainly consist of the sugar residues of glucose, galactose, arabinose, GlcA, and GalA, and the linked proteins are with a higher ratio (~25%) of hydroxyl-proline. The protein portion accounts for about 30-40% of the glycoproteins.
2. Average Molecular Weight: 50,000 – 100,000 dalton.
3. Solubility: Soluble in water and in low concentration of ethanol and methanol
4. Specifications: 30%, 50%, 70%, 95%
5. Biological Activities: Lycium Polysaccharides (LPS), extracted and purified from Chinese medicinal fruits of Lycium barbarum,. The major biological activities are immune stimulation by stimulating the immune system, like hematopoietic system that is somehow described in TCM use as enhancing or boosting ‘Qi”. Comparing with most of polysaccharides, LPS has a better activity in terms of platelet stimulation. Other biological activities including anti-tumor and anti-virus have been reported recent years.
